BOOM! Studios is no stranger to TV-to-comic ports, as the current publisher of “Sons Of Anarchy,” for example. And now it seems like they’re going further down that road, as a new teaser released today shows none other than Ichabod Crane and Lt. Abbie Mills from the FOX show Sleepy Hollow facing off against their famous headless foe.
There’s no word on who is going to be writing or illustrating the series as of yet, but I know of quite a few Sleepy Hollow fans to which this will appeal — particularly Associate Editor David Harper who, when I forwarded the image over, said:
“Sleepy Hollow is a show that works, and works well in surprising fashion. Honestly, I never expected it to be good, but it ends up working because it is completely unhinged and because of two leads who make the most of what they’re given in spectacular fashion. Without Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie bringing their characters to life, it’s a litttttle sketchy as to how an adaptation of it might work, but if they can account for their charm and just keep throwing madness onto the pages (with good art, of course), I’m in for at least #1.”
