I don’t mean to toot my own horn or anything, but I might be the biggest “Cow Boy” fan around. This little OGN that came out from Archaia, writer Nate Cosby and artist Chris Eliopoulos last year was an absolute delight, a funny, strangely heartbreaking little tale with one of my favorite new comic characters in recent memory, and you’re sure to be a fan of it if you gave it a chance. Boyd Linney, the aforementioned new fave and lead of “Cow Boy,” has since appeared in little stories for Archaia’s Halloween special and latest FCBD offering (“I contemplate the beaver.”), but no continuation of his not concluded story from the first volume had been announced…until now.

Coming in September of this year, Cosby and Eliopoulos continue Boyd’s quest to round up all the people who led him wrong in his tremendously young life in “Cow Boy: Unconquerable.” Namely, his family. It’s sure to be filled with laughs, poignant character moments, and apparently a great loss in Boyd’s life if the cover is to believed. I couldn’t recommend this book more. It’s wonderful for all-ages, but don’t let that scare you away, o tough comic reader: this is just a damn fine comic book. More on it later I’m sure, but this is a great way to start my day.
