Deadline recently broke the news that Bryan Singer would indeed be coming back to helm X-Men: Apocalypse, the follow up to this summer’s Days of Future Past. The new isn’t particularly surprising since Singer seemed to be back in full command of the X-Ship after The Last Stand and those Wolverine movies, but his return was uncertain considering the controversy that struck around Days of Future Past‘s release date. In case you don’t remember, it was really bad.

On one hand, it’d make sense for Fox to pass up Singer for Apocalypse considering all the bad press he gained from the sex abuse charges, but those charges were all dropped. Also, Days of Future Past made $746 million dollars. So it looks like it actually does make more sense to keep Singer on. What do you think about this, Apocaylpse?

Yeah, I’m not climbing into that hellhole of a debate either. Some people are bound to be happy since Days of Future Past was so acclaimed but at the same time there’s a cloud of doubt surrounding Singer when it comes to April’s controversy. Either way, X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 27th, 2016.
