In association with the website We Love Fine, who’ve been putting out a bevy of Marvel-related shirts for a while now, Matt Fraction has curated a new collection of “Hawkeye” shirts as part of the official Team Hawkguy line. You can get a Hawk Block shirt to protect your privates with Hawkeye’s face, a Bro shirt for all your tracksuit dracula meet-ups or even just a plain Hawkguy shirt, featuring the logo of the book rewritten with the new slang.
The reason to do this is not just because you love Hawkguy, though. Similar to the situation with “Hawkeye” #7, Matt Fraction will donate all of the money he will make from curating the collection of shirts to Futures Without Violence, a charitable organization focusing the prevention of domestic/dating violence, child abuse and sexual assault. Here’s a quote from their About Us page to give you a better idea:
We advance the health, stability, education, and security of women and girls, men and boys worldwide. In 1994, Futures Without Violence was instrumental in developing the landmark Violence Against Women Act passed by the US Congress. Striving to reach new audiences and transform social norms, we train professionals such as doctors, nurses, athletic coaches, and judges on improving responses to violence and abuse. As well, we work with advocates, policy makers and others to build sustainable community leadership and educate people everywhere about the importance of respect and healthy relationships – the relationships that all individuals, families, and communities need and deserve.
So you get to look good with Hawkeye over your junk and donate money to a charitable organization at the same time. That’s what they call a win/win, bro.
