We at Multiversity like to think that we have our fingers on the pulse of the comic community. We are of the belief that we know what’s best for you, and assuredly know what will be good for you. That’s why, in addition to tomorrow’s Comic’s Should Be Cheap, I’d like to offer up two trades that should be making their way home with you this week: EmiTown and Axe Cop.
These are two comics we have frequently discussed on the site as well as recommended. In fact, we’ve recommended them so many times at this point that I can actually just pull out quotes from previous reviews on our site! Take a look below:
Praise for EmiTown: Lenox’s vivid imagination, inventive layouts, and palpable charisma makes every day an adventure within the incredible minutiae we all experience. … No less, this is A+ work from an extremely talented young and relatively unknown creator.
Praise for Axe Cop: When you get down to it, these are some of the funniest and most original comics in recent memory. I mean come on, it made “I will chop your heads off!” a legitimate catch phrase. This thing is good as gold. If you haven’t been reading this absurd and hilarious series, get on it pronto, or Axe Cop may chop your head off.
