You’ve waited patiently for it, and now we are able to tell you: Brian Bendis’ next creator owned book on Icon is going to be titled “Brilliant” with Mark Bagley on art. That’s right – the duo that knocked it out of the park in Ultimate Spider-Man for the longest creative duo at Marvel are back together for more than just the Death of Spider-Man.

We don’t know much about the book yet, but what little we do know is that the book will be about geniuses “trying to see who can crack the code of superpowers first”, although Bendis is quick to note that this is not explicitly a superhero book. Right now the book is set to be a mini-series, but if fan response is positive then the book will continue on through several connecting mini’s.

For more information, check out an interview with the creative team at CBR.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
