We’ve been wondering about this for some time, and now Marvel has released some of the details about their upcoming title the Mystery Men, from writer David Liss and artist Patrick Zircher.

The book stars Achilles, the Aviatrix, the Operative, the Revenant, and the Surgeon,  the book takes Marvel back to the year 1935 as a “pulp-a-thon” title featuring Marvel’s first men and women to put on masks and fight crime. The book is planned to double ship in June right now, and from an immediate glance looks pretty fantastic.

Liss also teased that familiar names and concepts will pop up in the title, but no one familiar will be in the actual book.

To see the characters in their full Zircher glory, check after the cut. In the meantime, keep it here with MC as we keep busting through the hits of C2E2!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
