We posted about an upcoming book written by Matt Fraction and illustrated by Dave Aja earlier this week, and now we know what it is thanks to C2E2’s Cup O’ Joe panel: a new “Hawkeye” solo series. This title, coming right on the tail of the movie of The Avengers and Hawkeye’s first big splash as a movie character (thanks to actor Jeremy Renner), is set to be a more street level look at the character, pairing Clint Barton up with new protege Kate Bishop (the Young Avenger who effectively stole Clint’s shtick).
So let me get this straight…the team from “Immortal Iron Fist” (or at least part of it) working on a book about Hawkeye? With art like that on the covers? That seems like a pretty likely buy in my book, if only because Aja is an art god.
