Most exciting Marvel-related C2E2 news? Yes.

Kieron Gillen teased this a while ago here at Multiversity, but now the official announcement has come: Matt Fraction and Kieron Gillen’s two Thor-related books are crossing over for a seven-part event entitled ‘Everything Burns.’ The story features the return of Surtur, last seen “DOOM”-ing it up in issue #631, and promises a huge status quo shift for Loki and Thor to meet with Thor’s 50th anniversary. Alan Davis and Carmine DiGiandamenica will be handling art duties on the two books.

Cue excitement and arm flailing.

We’ve long been massive proponents of Gillen’s “Journey Into Mystery”, so we’re very excited to see this storyline get a pay-off in such a massive fashion. Fraction and Gillen previously collaborated on “Uncanny X-Men”, so their working relationship is well solidified. Suffice it to say, expect plenty more about the upcoming story from Multiversity in the upcoming months.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
