C2E2: Is Bendis Bringing Back… ROM? (UPDATE: Nope!)

I can not confirm or deny anything to you lovely readers, but ever since the SpaceKnight’s returned at the end of Thanos Imperative, all of us have been asking: “ROM now?”

Well, at the Avengers Assemble Panel, Brian Bendis mentioned the following bit of news when talking about the upcoming Avengers Point One issue he’s doing with Bryan Hitch:

The story is a self-contained prologue to “a very large story the pair will do in the future which the writer described as “the Avengers Vs. The Intelligencia over the fallen body of a Spaceknight.”

The fallen body of a SpaceKnight? Could that be … ROM?

Again – we can’t confirm or deny anything, and I can guarantee you Bendis won’t either. But can you think of any fallen SpaceKnights off the top of your head that might be somewhat relevant in bringing into the Marvel U?

UPDATE: This is not true. Bendis remarked that it will not be ROM as Marvel no longer owns the rights to ROM. Bendis added that the second that Marvel does get ROM back, he’ll throw him into a story the first chance he gets.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
