This week, “Carnage USA” #5 by Zeb Wells, Clayton Crain, Hot Dogs and Apple Pie was released.  It wrapped up the little story with a nice Venom 2.0 v. Carnage fight, and an open enough ending that should the want for more stories be there, they could be told. The issue’s letters column ended with a little tease at the future of Cletus Kassaday and his silly symbiote:

We thought it was a joke (you know — 90’s “Maximum Carnage”, now “Minimum Carnage”, haw haw haw), but apparently it’s not.

Not much else is known about the book, but one could probably assume it’ll be written by Zeb Wells, illustrated by Clayton Crain, be announced in the upcoming Marvel July solicits and be a mixture of hilarious and terrifying. (Kassady in your veins? That’s frightening.)

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
