Anxious to get your first look at what Chris Evans is (probably) going to look like in the upcoming Captain America movie? Well, then I have good news for you! The good folks over at Ain’t It Cool News have posted up the 100% confirmed real deal of what the costume will look like. Take a look:

Not bad, eh? Looks like kind of a cool mash up of Bryan Hitch’s Ultimate 1944 Cap as well as some of the basic elements we’ve come to know. Not many frills on that suit, but I’m willing to overlook that in favor of the sleek appearance they probably want to go for in the movie. Less continuity accuracy, more “what would this be in real life?” accuracy, which is understandable. It’s still definitely Cap, though, and the concept is clearly tailored to give us an idea of what Chris Evans is going to look like under that mask and – I gotta say – it’s look good. Will Evans look this good when he’s in the suit? I sure do hope so.

There are three more concept images behind the cut for your enjoyment, but what do you think about the suit? Do you like the changes, or wish they kept it with more of the armor look the suit originally had? Do you like Chris Evans as Cap a little more now, or a lot less? Let us know your thoughts, and check out the remaining pictures (with even cooler poses!) behind the jump cut!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
