According to the Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog the role of Carol Ferris has been cast. Who got the role and is it someone that had been in the rumor mill for it? You’ll have to come in to find out!
It would appear that the role of Carol Ferris which had been rumored to potentially go to Keri Russell or Jenifer Garner has gone to neither ladies. Instead it would appear that Warner Brothers has chosen Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star Blake Lively to play the love interest of Hal Jordan. Lively also plays a role in Gossip Girl which I will probably never ever see and never be sad about it.
Well, what does everyone thing? Personally I am not so sure but I’m willing to give her a shot I suppose. I enjoy the choice to use her over Garner and Russell that is for sure. She is beautiful and a relative unknown, unless you’re familiar with her female oriented roles, and these are big plusses in my book.
More importantly the casting of Lively as Carol Ferris is exciting because this means that other castings should be announced soon. According to the same article by Heat Vision the rumored villians are rumored to be Hector Hammond and Sinestro. Both are choices I whole-heartedly endorse! Now if only they’d cast Hugh Laurie as Sinestro i’d be pretty damn stoked!
