It’s the oddest thing. I was just thinking of Image Expo this morning, and then when I got into work, I had an email from Image waiting for me announcing that the next Image Expo is set to arrive January 8, 2015 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. This will be the third Expo in one calendar year, and Image as a publisher’s cup is running over with more titles than they’ve ever produced, almost all of a high quality. This type of thing? Well, it’s likely to be more of the same, especially after the last one announced books from luminaries like Warren Ellis, Declan Shalvey, Jeff Lemire, Sean Murphy and more.
This event features a phenomenal guest list, as per usual, with industry faves like Brian K. Vaughan (we now know what he was teasing in the back of “Saga” #24 it seems), Todd McFarlane and Scott Snyder taking the stage and Expo first timers (at least in this form) Marjorie Liu and Emi Lenox joining as well. Oh, and special guests, which based off the history of mind blowing announcements the event has had, I can only assume they’ll be:
– Neil Gaiman
– John Lasseter
– Michaelangelo
– Shakespeare
Creator-owned is very hot right now.
We’ll have all of your Image Expo coverage this January. Get excited, folks.
