Remember that time CW released just a profile headshot of Grant Gustin’s Flash costume for their upcoming The Flash pilot? Well, now they’ve released a full shot of the costume! It’s… it’s the one above this paragraph. Yeah, you had to scroll past it to be reading this? Yeah, that’s the costume.
To be honest, I am both impressed and a little underwhelmed. I’m impressed they stuck so close to the actual suit this early on and didn’t try to play coy with the costume like the Arrow costume. Yet, there are definitely elements that don’t sit right with me. The headpiece looks a little awkward without the wings to off-set the balance, especially from that angle that which makes it look like Gustin has a big red leather forehead. Yet that’s still a minor complaint, though, because holy shit the CW is making a superhero TV show where they aren’t trying to shy away from putting the hero in the costume (lookin’ at you, Smallville). I might end up watching this one.
