Check Out Jock’s Daredevil: Reborn Cover

The other day we posted that following Shadowland, Diggle would be following up the event with a Aftermath one-shot and a new mini-series entitled Daredevil: Reborn. We weren’t given a lot of information for it, but we posted a blurry image from a cellphone of the cover of the first issue by Jock. Now? Now we give you the real deal, people.

It’s a wonderful cover. We see Daredevil’s body outline and a broken staff spread out over the city of New York, which doesn’t bode well for the character and in fact gives more fuel to the fire that he will be dead at the end of Shadowland. Of course, we don’t even know what the context of “reborn” is yet. Perhaps it’s a spiritual rebirth, a la Born Again. Marvel even hinted that someone else would be putting on the suit (though most fans universally agreed that no one but Danny Rand should do that, and Rand will be busy in his own ongoing). So Daredevil’s fate is still up in the air, but what we do know is that that is one gorgeous cover. Seriously – anyone who has been reading Scalped knows that Jock can do serious covers, and this, my friends and fans, is a damn great cover.

Look for more on Daredevil: Reborn come December.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
