If you’re anything like us, the name “Richard Corben” isn’t new to you. From his terrifying original comics to his even more terrifying entries into the Hellboy series (The Crooked Man, for example — although Hellboy In Mexico/House of the Living Dead is fantastic as well), Corben has certainly proven himself to be a fantastic voice of illustrated horror in the comic medium.

Come March, he’ll be starting up a brand new series and re-uniting with Mutant World collaborator/writer Jan Strnad, which is being solicited as “a gothic nightmare a la Poe and Lovecraft” and stars a living castle named Ragemoor — and today we bring you an exclusive look at the cover to the third issue.

In addition to the exclusive cover, Dark Horse has provided the following information:

From the creators of Mutant World! Jan Strnad and Richard Corben.

The mad owner of the Ragemoor mansion seeks an heir for his throne. Unfortunately the woman he loves would rather die than subject herself to him, his crazy apes, and his living castle!

Ragemoor #3 is on sale May 23rd, and be sure to look for Ragemoor #1 on sale March 21st.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
