Straight from the LA set of the new Spider-Man movie, we have our first rather clear look at the new Spider-Man suit. Nothing is dark or blurry, it’s all rather out there and clear.

So what do we have? Well, we have silver lined boots, web-shooters and a rather different pattern than the classic Spidey suit we all know and love. It’s important to note that this is the stunt costume, not the official costume Garfield himself will be wearing – although it’ll be pretty damn close (probably minus the silver booties). It’s actually quite a departure in this side view, offering a much sleeker costume (and I’m not referencing the actor inside). We all remember what the first trilogy’s suit looked like, and that was rather spot on to the comic book – this, however, is quite different.

What’s the reason for it? And how does Andrew Garfield design this in the film? We’re unsure yet, but at least we have our web-shooters. Here’s hoping Sony releases a better and much more clear version of the suit yet (or even a teaser!).

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
