Your boob tube is about to get a whole lot better! According to an exclusive over at Deadline.com, the same group working on AMC’s Walking Dead and FX’s Powers adaptations (Circle of Confusion) is also bringing fellow Image title CHEW to the silver screen. Steven Hopkins (24, Californication, The Unusuals) has come on board to direct and executive produce, as well as feature Kevin Falls (The West Wing, Journeyman, Sports Night)as a show runner. This is especially monumental considering that Chew has only just completed it’s first year in print, and just goes to show you the fantastic mind in Layman and Guillory as they’ve been able to capture readers everywhere with snappy writing and slick artwork. Chew is also a highly recommended Multiversity Comics favorite, with John Layman being one of our favorite guys in general, so a hearty congratulations goes out to him and the success of the title!

Of course, we here at Multiversity already know who should be cast:

So! Somebody go get Ken Leung and Josh Holloway’s numbers. If they can make it happen on LOST, then we can definitely make this happen with Chew!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
