Today on WarrenEllis.com, Chip Zdarsky took the reigns as guest informant to share a chapter from his upcoming book, Are You There, God? It’s Me, Supergod. This chapter, number 37, is entitled “Who Writes the Watchmen?”, and details Zdarsky’s trip to New York to pitch a story for one of the most hotly debated and fanboy derived possible releases of the next year.

Now — we know there’ve been lots of “news” and rumors about the mythical Watchmen 2 book that DC is supposedly working on under the guise of “The Panic Room.” We haven’t covered it at all. Why? Well, because the only way to give power to something you don’t like is to give it attention. However, Zdarsky’s chapter is so viciously hilarious that there was no way we couldn’t cover it in some capacity to share with all of our readers eagerly waiting some news or commentary on the release of a sequel/prequel to Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ classic comic.

So we have selected one single page to share with you from the chapter, and hidden it behind our cut. As a note, it is absolutely NSFW in every way, but this one single page will both sum up Zdarsky’s humorous brilliance and convince you that you need to read his full pitch for Watchmen 2. There’s no way it won’t.

Believe what you will, read the full chapter at Warren Ellis’ website and prepare to laugh either way after the cut.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
