Chris Roberson To Hold Creator-Owned Press Conference

Reading “It’s time to talk!”, an e-mail has arrived in our inbox from on Allison Baker of Monkeybrain Comics announcing that Chris Roberson (former writer of “Superman”, current writer of “iZombie” and “Memorial”) will be holding some kind of press conference in two weeks — July 2nd, to be exact, which would tie in with Independence Day (as should be made apparent by the below promotional material).

It doesn’t say much more than that, but this is probably in regards to Roberson’s current stance on creator-owned books and the launching of a new book or two, perhaps even his own imprint/studio. Whatever it is, though, it’ll be creator-owned first.

We’re assuming it’s creator-owned, anyway. Somehow I don’t think this is the announcement that Roberson is returning to DC to work on a new Superman book.

Here is some attached promotional art to look over:

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
