Now that Darren Aronofsky is confirmed as the director of the next Hugh Jackman-starring Wolverine film, we’re just waiting on the cast filling out and the title. And now, we have the title. Going away from the convoluted naming convention they had previously (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine”…really?!), this film will be called simply “The Wolverine.” Which is actually a pretty badass title and for some reason escalates my interest in this film, even though I have no idea why.
The plot will be coming from the Chris Claremont and Frank Miller mini-series from the 80’s that found Wolverine in Japan making it rain Hand blood. It’s guaranteed to bring a lot of violence and a lot of brooding to the screen when it arrives.
