ComiXology have announced the latest in their Originals line will be a graphic novel, “Virtually Yours,” by writer Jeremy Holt, artist Elizabeth Beals, letterer Adam Wollet, and designer Tim Daniel.

The book, which will be released on July 14, follows Eva Estrella, a New Yorker who is focused on her career, start using a new app that provides proof that you are in a relationship, without actually being in one, in a bid to stop people from asking her when she’ll find true love. It also follows Max Kittridge, a staff member at the app’s developer who makes the content the customers use, as he navigates the complexities of his job and working with Eva while he undergoes a divorce.

In a statement, Holt said, “We set out to create a rom-com that resonated with us on a personal level, by featuring characters that accurately reflect and represent our generation, while taking all of the classic rom-com tropes and turning them on their heads.” Beals stated “New York City is such a wonderfully diverse place, and our cast definitely reflects that,” adding, “With everyone being so different, I had a lot of fun diving into their routines, creating wardrobes for their everyday, work, or even a night out drinking with friends.”

Like the rest of the comiXology Originals line, “Virtually Yours” will be available to buy on comiXology and Kindle, as well as being free to members of Amazon Prime, Kindle Unlimited and comiXology Unlimited. You can check out preview pages over at THR.
