As confirmed by both Josh Fialkov on Twitter and Comic Book Resources (on their website), “Ultimate FF” – a book that was part of the new relaunch that Marvel threw the Ultimate universe’s way – will be ending with the sixth issue in August. It was absent from the September solicits, save for a collection of the first six issues, and the sixth issue claimed to be the “END OF THE FUTURE FOUNDATION!”, so it makes sense, but it fits what we know about the the new youth oriented Ultimate remix just hasn’t seemed to take sales wise besides the Spider-Man title (which is great, by the way).

As Fialkov said above, he will not even be writing the series conclusion, which is a shame because many applauded his writing on the series. Beyond that, this will likely continue to fuel the fires that Marvel is moving away from anything Fantastic Four related as part of a spat with Fox, the people who are producing the film series. The big domino that could fall would be the main universe book ending, but only time will tell if that happens. For now, pour one out for our homie Josh Fialkov. You do good work.
