Dark Horse Comics announced a new fantasy OGN coming in October, from the husband-and-wife writing team of Leah Moore & John Reppion and artist Sally Jane Thompson. “Conspiracy of Ravens” is a middle-grade targeted graphic novel that promises “magic, family secrets, and legacy.”
The 136-page story centers around a teen schoolgirl named Anne. She finds an ancient locket in a crumbling mansion she unexpectedly inherits from a long-lost aunt. The locket unlocks mysterious powers as she discovers her family’s magical legacy. Anne learns that there are others with newly awakened powers as well, and not all of them with good intentions.
Leah Moore is the daughter of legendary comic writer Alan Moore. She & John Reppion have been writing together since 2003, having co-created titles like “Wild Girl,” “Albion,” and “Raise the Dead.” They are also penning a new Sherlock Holmes series for Dynamite called “Sherlock Holmes: The Vanishing Man.” Artist Sally Jane Thompson’s work can be seen in “Atomic Sheep,” “Liberator”, “Womanthology: Space”, and “Thought Bubble.”
