After a series of teasers released yesterday regarding Marvel Comics’s history being “destroyed,” Marvel Comics has announced a new limited series titled, “Cosmic Ghost Rider Destroys Marvel History.”

Written by Paul Scheer and Nick Giovannetti with art by Gerardo Sandoval, the series will see the Cosmic Ghost Rider messing with established timelines after being sent into the past. The series will be similar to other non-canonical series like “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe.” Cosmic Ghost Rider was created by Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw and first appeared late 2017 in “Thanos” issue #13, and was later revealed to be an alternate reality version of Frank Castle, The Punisher. The “Cosmic Ghost Rider” limited series trade paperback, written by Donny Cates and illustrated by Dylan Burnett, will be available for purchase in February, 2019.

Paul Scheer is mostly known for his work as a comedian and as an actor on shows such as The League, and Giovannetti is primarily known as a video game writer (Bully), however, the pair have previously written for Marvel on “Deadpool/Spider-Man” and for BOOM! Studios on “Aliens vs. Parker.” Artist Gerardo Sandoval has most recently drawn “Infinity Wars: Weapon Hex” for Marvel. The cover for issue #1 is drawn by Gerardo Zaffino (“God Country”).

“Comic Ghost Rider Destroys Marvel History” #1 will be available for purchase March 6, 2019.
