Craig Thompson’s “Blankets” is my favorite graphic novel ever (heady praise, for sure), and was also at the time of release the longest graphic novel ever. Since it came out in 2003, Craig Thompson has been working on his next opus “Habibi” for Pantheon Books (with his travelogue “Carnet de Voyage” being released in there as well), and we finally have a release date: September 20th, 2011.
For fans of comics, this is now an important day on the calendar. This should be a must buy for everyone. Above, we have the mocked up cover as well as a few that haven’t made the cut, but make sure to pay attention to Thompson’s blog Doot Doot Garden up until its release.
