Earlier this month we reported on something entitled “Creator Owned Heroes.” We didn’t know what it was specifically, but we knew it involved Steve Niles, Kevin Mellon, Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray and Phil Noto. Sure, we had guesses and assumptions, but nothing concrete.
Today we have concrete confirmation: “Creator Owned Heroes” is a new comic magazine coming from Image this June. The book will feature two ongoing strips – ‘American Muscle’, written by Steve Niles and illustrated by Kevin Mellon, and ‘Trigger Girl 6’, written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray with art by Phil Noto. The book will run for $3.99 a pop with two covers and will come with additional material, such as interviews (the first with Neil Gaiman), “cosplay and more.”
While we don’t know too much about the specifics for each story, we can assume that the merits of all the creators involved is more than enough to entice you for the content this book will offer. Look for more information later this month, assumedly around solicitation time.
