Via CBR, Marvel Comics have announced a new, five-part “Damage Control” series, revolving around the construction company that acts as a superhero battle clean-up crew. The miniseries will follow Gus, a new employee “who has no idea how chaotic his life is about to become,” and a team of heroes trying to help the organization, consisting of Moon Knight, Nightcrawler, She-Hulk, Ghost Rider and Quicksilver. The book will be written by The Goldbergs creator Adam F. Goldberg, with Hans Rodionoff and Charlotte Fullerton, and features art by Will Robson (“Spider-Ham”) with Jay Fosgitt (“Bodie Troll”).

Goldberg commented, “Damage Control has always been our favorite part of the Marvel Universe ever since it made its debut back in the ’80s. [Hans and I] literally cheered when Damage Control made an appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming and then again when they returned in Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Rodionoff adds, “We’re both huge Marvel fans, and we also love The Office, so we knew Damage Control had all the makings of a really fun show [sic]. It’s a workplace comedy where Captain Marvel might visit your cubicle or you could end up doing trust falls with Thor at the company retreat.”

Goldberg previously penned a story in 2019’s “Marvel Comics” #1000, while Rodionoff wrote the 2005 Man-Thing film, and its three-part prequel comic. The two previously worked together on The Goldbergs, and the Zenescope comics series “Conspiracy” and “Possessive.” Co-writer Charlotte Fullerton is the widow of Damage Control co-creator Dwayne McDuffie, who introduced the group with artist Ernie Colón in 1988’s “Marvel Age Annual” #4, and subsequently penned three “Damage Control” miniseries from 1989 to 1991.

The new “Damage Control” #1 will be released in August with a main cover by Carlos Pacheco, and variant artwork by Robson himself.
