This was very strongly hinted at at the end of Time Masters: Vanishing Point, but it looks like there is more confirmation now: Dan Jurgens is returning to Booster Gold’s ongoing book.
The book, which is currently written by Keith Giffen and JM Demattis, currently features a loose tie-in to Generation Lost as Booster tries to figure out how to stop Max Lord on his own while having more time adventures with the now deceased Blue Beetle. However, as Flashpoint draws near, it becomes a bit more clear as to why Time Masters was delayed so much, due to the blackboard revealed at the end of the last issue. Jurgens will jump back in at #44, writing and drawing the Flashpoint tie-in between Booster and the event. The current arc of Booster Gold also serves as a reminder that the Reverse Flash and Booster are lightly connected due to the century that they come from, which serves as an interesting and light plot note to something that may or may not come to any kind of fruition in Flashpoint (although it’s teased that this might have “”something” to do with “something,” so to say).
For the full interview with Dan Jurgens that reveals some of his thoughts in how he writes Booster Gold, check out Blog@. He even gives some notes as to how Vanishing Point changed from a Return Of Bruce Wayne tie-in to a Flashpoint tie-in. It seems like Flashpoint is becoming a bigger event every day, possibly even greater than Blackest Night at this point, which is rather interesting to see. Fans of Jurgen’s first run of Booster Gold in the latest volume also have some things to look forward to, as Jurgens claims that between his old run, Vanishing Point, and this, it should tell one rather interesting linear story about time travel and the relationship between Rip and Booster, as well as the general nature of DC’s timeline.
