As revealed on his blog, Daniel Clowes has shown off the front slipcase cover to “the Complete Eightball,” coming later this year from Fantagraphics. Collecting “Eightball” #1-18 (although there were technically 23 issues) into a two-volume set, this is the book to get for all your Clowes comics that aren’t collected in bigger collections like “David Boring,” “Ice Haven” or “The Death Ray.”

Here’s the cover:

The collection will be out later this year feature 450 pages of Clowes, and will include some of his more famous stories like “Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron” and “Ghost World,” for those of you who don’t already own these (for some odd reason). It is undoubtedly a book that you should want to have in your collection, so I’d suggest pre-ordering now.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
