The Cover to Daredevil #36

Artist Chris Samnee has taken to Twitter to confirm the rumor (posted earlier today by Bleeding Cool) that “Daredevil” would be ending in February, and shared the cover along with this tweet.

Bleeding Cool picked up on this after “Daredevil” editor Steve Wacker answered one of the letters column missives with the following:

“Thanks, Jaleel. Many of you seem to have enjoyed DD colorist Javier Rodriguez’s art work on his recent two-parter and I certainly hear you. Javier will be back to draw issue #34 in a couple of months to give Chris time to focus on our big two-part finale to this era of Daredevil. Sad, I know, but all things must end, right?”

The qualifying phrase of “this era” leads many to believe that the book will be relaunched as part of the “All New Marvel Now!” initiative, although the fate of writer Mark Waid’s tenure on the book remains to be seen (Waid did not tip us off to this when he was on The Hour Cosmic last week).
