With Lucasfilm being sold to Disney a couple weeks back, there was a lot of talk about whether or not the Star Wars comic book rights would go over to Marvel what with them being owned by Disney and all. But it looks like we might have an answer to that as CBR has exclusive news that Dark Horse will be relaunching “Star Wars: Legacy” next year with Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman onboard creatively.

“Star Wars: Legacy” first launched in 2006 with writer John Ostrander going over 100 years in the future past the events of the original films. Now, of course, details of the news series are sparse, but it does seem like this new “Legacy” series will be following suit by featuring the great-granddaughter of Han Solo and Leia Organa.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on any further details that turn up on this series.

Alice W. Castle

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
