Every year we are given quite a few conventions to celebrate the medium with, and at most of the bigger shows we now get various exclusives. Whether it’s the sheer spending money overload at SDCC with lines and tickets, the quiet dignity and grave of ECCC’s various show exclusives or that strange middle-ground that is NYCC, convention exclusives are here to stay, part of the game and some of the fun. Right now we’re going to look at Dark Horse’s offerings — and while some of them may be familiar for convention fans, there’s still a lot of good stuff to pick from here.
So what is Dark Horse bringing (in case that image below is a bit too small to read on its own, in which case you could also click here)? Here’s the skinny:
Mass Effect Alliance Cruiser -$60
The Art of Naught Dog (Limited Edition Set) – $99.99
Captain Midnight: Stolen Future Slipcase Edition – $20
Eve: Source Limited Edition – $90
Elder Scrolls Guides (Limited Edition Set) – $100
The Best of Comix Book (Limited Edition) – $125
Itty Bitty Hellboy (Convention Hardcover) – $20
Aang Memorial Statue from the Legend of Korra – $175
Dark Horse Presents #2 (Patric Reynolds Convention Variant) – $4.99
The Witcher #1 (Stan Sakai Convention Variant) – $5
Stannis Barathean Shield Wall Plaque from Game of Thrones – $30
Daenerys’ Dragons from Game of Thrones ($35 each, $90 all three)
And those are some pretty sweet gets. Though, for my money, I can’t recommend that “Captain Midnight” slipcase enough; two trades, one slipcase, 8+ great issues of story. Not a bad deal.
