Writer James Powell and a regular creepshow full of artists are taking kids to the “House of Fear” next May. Dark Horse just announced a new 144-page horror collection that’ll include five freakishly frightening tales, such as Powell and artist Jethro Morales’s “Attack of the Killer Snowmen.”

Presided over by a “creepy caretaker,” the “House of Fear” will feature not just killer snowmen, but also old ghosts, evil tooth fairies, and even a pile of leaves that’ll make kids cringe. Joining Morales on art are Adrían Bago González and James Hislope, as well as inker Mike Erandio, colorist Josh Jensen, and letterer Matt Krotzer.

“House of Fear: Attack of the Killer Snowmen and Other Spooky Stories” goes on sale May 1, 2019. To whet your appetite for all-ages scares, you can learn a little more about the book below, in Dark Horse’s press release.
