The graphic novel, “Disney • Pixar’s Incredibles 2: Heroes at Home,” will see Dash and Violet juggling housework – including looking after their baby brother Jack-Jack – and grocery shopping while their parents are away. The book is written by Liz Marsham (Disney Princess Beginnings) and illustrated by Nicoletta Baldari (“Star Wars Adventures: Forces of Destiny”).
The three-issue miniseries, “Disney • Pixar’s Incredibles 2: Crisis in Mid-Life! & Other Stories” will contain two parallel stories: ‘Crisis in Mid-Life!,’ where Mr. Incredible has to stop the supervillain Bomb Voyage from interrupting a submarine dedication ceremony, and ‘Bedtime Story,’ where Mr. Incredible’s alter-ego Bob tells Jack-Jack a story from his younger days. Each issue will also have back-up stories about Jack-Jack. The series will be written by Christos Gage, and Landry Q. Walker, and is illustrated by Gurihiru, J. Bone, Andrea Greppi, and Roberta Zanotta.
Dark Horse did not announce when the graphic novel and miniseries will be published, only that they will be coming “later this year.” The comic continues the renewed partnership with Disney and Dark Horse, which originally ended in 2004 with an adaptation of the original film. In the meantime, Incredibles 2 will be released in theaters on June 15, 2018.
