Dark Horse Comics have announced a new horror graphic novel called “Panorama” from writer/artist Michel Fiffe (“Copra”). It will chronicle the story of a young couple, Kim and Augustus, who are running away from a small town in order to find a new life in the city, however, when they reach the city, they discover they have a horrific shared ability which will change their lives.
Together, the pair have to overcome hardships defining their identity and love as they survive a “gruesome metamorphosis unlike anything ever seen before.” When speaking to ComicBook.com, Fiffe stated that he was excited to finally have “Panorama” “back out in the world” and detailed that the book “mixes genres and bends the form and is quite possibly my most personal project yet.”
“Panorama” was originally released as a webcomic between August 2005 and July 2008 on a platform that Fiffe co-founded, called Act-i-vate, but he has since taken all of his work offline. In 2014, Fiffe cited discomfort with his work being called webcomics, because he always designed the comics for print and “never took advantage of what a webcomic is or could be.”
Dark Horse’s printed release of “Panorama” will be available in comic shops on May 27, followed by a book shop release on June 9.
