Dark Horse Comics have announced they will publish “Rangers of the Divide,” a four-part fantasy adventure by writer and artist Megan Huang, from May. The series will mark Huang’s solo debut comic series, and combines “dragons, mythical beasts, and sci-fi technology.” It follows an elite Commander leading a team of new recruits after the disappearance of their nations’ peacekeepers. An uncertain future awaits the group, as they embark on their first venture into uncharted territories.
Huang stated the series “started out as me just wanting to create something for fun,” and then “blossomed into a series I wanted to share.” She continued, “I put my spirit and heart into this epic tale, and as my first 100% solo series, I’m anxious and excited for it to hit shelves.”
Huang is best known for drawing “Jia and the Nian Monster,” which was written by Mike Richardson, and also published by Dark Horse Comics. She has worked on a variety of other projects, including “Life” with writer Stephanie Cooke, which was included in single issues of “Tartarus,” as well as for providing cover art for Oni Press.
“Rangers of the Divide” #1 is set for release in stores and on digital platforms on May 19.
