Just like Buffy got her eighth season… just like Angel is getting his fourth… Dark Horse is now giving Dollhouse a third season!

Picking up where the show left off, season 3 of Dollhouse will take place years in the future where the doll technology has broken out and the world (or, specifically, LA) is in ruins. The comic will revolves around Felicia Day’s character, and assumedly will feature Alpha and Echo, as well as other familiar faces. The book will be written by Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, with art by Cliff Richards, and the first issue is slated for 2011.

Dollhouse became quite a ridiculously impressive show in the second season, and I for one am excited to see it return. Although – we’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again – Firefly season 2? Please? We got a movie, two minis, a one-shot, and a graphic novel… but it’s not enough! The Whedons and Dark Horse have a great thing going, now let’s make it better. Yes? Yes!

Ahem. And by that I mean, yay more Dollhouse!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
