Pixar Animation Studios, in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics, have announced a graphic novel anthology that will serve as a companion to the upcoming film Toy Story 4. Haden Blackman, best known for his Star Wars comic and video game work, is set to pen the graphic novel. No artist has been announced at this time, and the plot hasn’t been revealed yet — just that the novel will feature four family-friendly stories about the Toy Story gang, and bring a few new characters in for the ride, presumably including Forky, a spork that was revealed in the teaser trailer earlier this month.

Pixar previously released “Toy Story” comics with BOOM! Studios and Marvel Comics, but have made the switch to Dark Horse for their latest tie-in graphic novel, in line with the deal Dark Horse and Walt Disney Animation Studios announced earlier this year. Dark Horse and Pixar have already collaborated before, with The Incredibles and Incredibles 2 tie-ins.

The “Toy Story 4” trade paperback will be 72 pages long and is available for pre-order through Amazon and Barnes & Noble now. It hits shelves May 7, 2019 and retails for $10.99. The Toy Story 4 movie itself will be released a month later in theaters on June 21, 2019.
