While big name titles like Avengers and Green Lantern sell out all the time, it’s always nice to see something from a smaller company sell out and go to its second printing, especially when it’s an all-ages comic. BOOM!’s new Darkwing Duck title did just that with its first issue, and apparently the second issue is on the verge of selling out as well. My question is: how many of these were purchased by/for children and how many were purchased by those who grew up watching the show (especially if they now have kids)? BOOM Kids! is proud to announce that DARKWING DUCK #1 has sold out, sending everyone’s favorite masked mallard into 2nd printing.
BOOM!’s latest smash hit has received tremendous fan support with sales of DARKWING DUCK #3 surpassing the sales of issue #1. DARKWING DUCK #2 is also on the verge of a sell-out and BOOM! is looking into a second printing of issue #2.
Fans should keep in mind, while Diamond Comic Distributors is completely sold out, first printings of DARKWING DUCK #1 may still be found at a direct market retailer near you.
