It had been known for some time that Paul Cornell would be leaving one of the books he started for DC’s New 52, “Demon Knights,” with issue #15. However, as Cornell exits, there must be a new writer — and today DC revealed just that.

Taking over for Cornell is Robert Venditti, who writes the successful relaunch of Valiant’s “X-O Manowar.” Vendetti’s story kicks off thirty years after Cornell’s finale, changing things quite a bit and dealing with a masive vampire invasion! There will be lots of stuff dealing with the history of the DCU, assumedly establishing the strict tie between this title and “Stormwatch,” as was always implied, and “I, Vampire,” whose ties have only been more recent to the organization Stormwatch.

Look for “Demon Knights” #16 in January.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
