Following yesterday’s news that Ivan Reis will be taking over art duties on “Justice League”, DC and USA Today have announced that #15 of “Justice League” will start a crossover between it and “Aquaman” called “Throne OF Atlantis.”

“There’s still questions of what Atlantis is like and what they do and what they’re capable of and why they exist and who sank Atlantis,” Geoff Johns told USA TODAY. “There’s all this mythology behind Atlantis that were not really sure of and no one really has any answers, and we’re about to get the answers.”

The crossover will also feature Ocean Master, an old Aquaman villain with a new look in the New 52 style, who is the brother of Aquaman and will be leading the Atlantean assault on the surface world.

“Ocean Master’s an interesting character,” Johns explains. “He doesn’t dislike his brother – he just thinks his brother is incapable of leading Atlantis and he’s proven over and over he can’t. He thinks his brother’s a little naïve on how it works. And if he’s in his way, he’s in his way.”

Remember to head over to DC and USA Today for the full announcement of this crossover.

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
