In addition to the earlier revealed titles, DC has pulled a fast one and announced two new titles to add to the list:

  • Blue Beetle #1, written by Tony Bedard and illustrated by Ig Guara and Ruy Jose
  • Suicide Squad #1, written by Adam Glass and illustrated by Marco Rudy
A lot fans have been pining for the Blue Beetle, including some of Multiversity’s own, but I’m sure most fans are sad to see the Suicide Squad replacing the Secret Six. I think it’s also safe to say that, with 4 books left, the last titles will all be Superman related (Superman, Action Comics, Supergirl, Superboy).
Here are some blurbs for you about the respective titles pictured above:

It’s not easy being Jaime Reyes. He has to deal with high school, family and all the drama that comes with being a teenager. Also, he’s linked to a powerful scarab created by an alien race who seek to subjugate planets — or annihilate them. It’s up to one teen hero to turn this instrument of destruction into a force for good in BLUE BEETLE #1, written by Tony Bedard (GREEN LANTERN CORPS) and illustrated by Ig Guara (FLASHPOINT: GRODD OF WAR) and Ruy Jose.

Harley Quinn! Deadshot! King Shark! They’re a team of death-row super villains recruited by the government to take on missions so dangerous — they’re sheer suicide! Who will be the first to crack under the pressure? Find out in SUICIDE SQUAD #1, written by Adam Glass (FLASHPOINT: LEGION OF DOOM) with art by Marco Rudy (THE SHIELD).

Look forward to tomorrow’s MC coverage of DCnU, where we’ll give you the last titles as well as a full list of all the books you can expect.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
