Ok, so over at the Source we have the announcements of Batman #1 and Detective Comics #1. However, over at an exclusive at IGN, we have a few further announcements.
Batman and Robin #1 will be continuing with Bruce and Damian running around as father and son, under the pens of Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason. Looks like their true run is actually beginning, after being announced, recanted, briefly teased, briefly given, and then taken away again. I’m going to guess some rewriting was involved.
Then David Finch’s Batman: The Dark Knight will also return with a new #1, despite it only actually getting two issues past it’s launch. Finch will be doing all the writing and illustrating, and the book will follow Bruce doing some investagating at Arkham Asylum. Whether this is a continuation of what Finch was initially working on (or if that will see completion) is unknown.
THE FUN DOESN’T END THERE! Thanks to Comics Should Be Good, it looks like several covers have leaked due to, apparently, a neat little URL hack. Apparently if you change the web address for previous covers you can find other covers. So what has come up? Nightwing #1 cover by Eddy Barrows (which may or may not be Jason Todd?), Catwoman #1 cover by Guillem March (perhaps the thing Cameron Stewart was working on?), Swamp Thing #1 cover by Yanick Paquette, and the much delayed Batwoman #1.
For the cover to Finch’s Dark Knight, as well as all of the other covers (except Batwoman, because we’ve seen it before), take a look after the cut. When we get more confirmations, we’ll give them to you.
