Resurrection Man #9 cover by Rafael Albuquerque

Today at DC’s Source, several artistic changes were announced to existing line-ups in their books.

Joining Marcus To in his new gig as artist of Batwing (replacing Ben Oliver), DC’s new line-ups include:

  • Jesus Saiz, formerly of Birds of Prey, will now be illustrating Resurrection Man, beginning with #9 come May. (Which is, admittedly, pretty punny.)
  • Fernando Dagnino, formerly of Resurrection Man, will now be illustrating Suicide Squad, again beginning with #9 come May.
  • Travel Forman, formerly of Animal Man, will now be illustrating Birds of Prey, again beginning with #9 in May.
  • Steve Pugh, also formerly of Animal Man (in the 90’s with Jamie Delano), will once again be illustrating Animal Man, again beginning with #9 in May.

No word on where Federico Dallocchio, Suicide Squad‘s former artist, will end up, if anywhere, although it should be noted that he was replaced for two issues already, once by Tom Raney and once by Clayton Henry on issues #7 and #8, respectively.

There will, assumedly, be a few more artistic changes timed for DC’s second wave coming up to be announced throughout the day. If so, we will update accordingly. In the mean time, check out a few covers for upcoming issues after the cut.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
