A lot of people were wondering where the entire Marvel family were when the first 52 DCnU books were announced, and with good reason: when in the right hands, he’s one of the absolute best characters they have. That said, Cap getting into the hands of the right creators is something that doesn’t happen that often.
However, might I suggest writer Nate Cosby and artist Evan “Doc” Shaner as a creative team? Recently, Cosby shared on his Tumblr page how he would write Captain Marvel, and then Shaner turned that little spiel into a six panel exercise of character acting in comics. The results are superb, and with at least Shaner being an uber fan of the character (I’m guessing his DC Fifty-Too entry will be Cap related), I say why not get this deadly duo on a Captain Marvel book?
I’d buy it, and I’m sure there are a ton of other comic fans who would as well. These two would be perfect – let’s make that happen DC!
