Debuting over at DCU’s The Source blog, the company has revealed several new covers for the upcoming launch of Justice League #1.
The main change being presented here is a) Cyborg missing from one cover while Wonder Woman stands front and center and b) Wonder Woman no longer sporting a pair of pants. As odd as it seems, DC appears to keep slipping up between what they’re saying and what they’re showing us, and it’s not impossible to postulate that the David Finch variant cover was a bit rushed in order to go along with DC’s recently reannounced plans for female characters and creators in their comics. Why that means Cyborg had to disappear is beyond me, though.
It’s also worth noting that in the released promo-image for NYCC ’11, the Justice League looks considerably more happy. Why so serious, guys?
