DC Comics have announced three of their current series written by Joshua Williamson will have a three-month crossover, beginning this March. Titled ‘Shadow War,’ the event will unfold in the pages of “Robin,” “Deathstroke Inc.,” and “Batman,” and see Slade Wilson being hunted by the League of Shadows after he “commits an unthinkable act.” Bruce and Damian Wayne must find Wilson, “and bring him to justice, but [will] they?”
The story kicks off on March 29 with “Shadow War Alpha” #1, a 48-page one-shot featuring art by Viktor Bogdanovic. “Robin” #12 and “Deathstroke Inc.” #7, respectively illustrated by Roger Cruz and Howard Porter, will both set the stage for the crossover the week before on March 22. “Robin” will depict Damian’s return to Gotham City, and apparent battle with an apparition of himself, while Slade’s lead-in will see the return of his daughter Rose, aka Ravager, as well as her new partner Respawn (who was introduced in Williamson and Gleb Melnikov’s “Robin” #1.)
The rest of the event’s schedule and reading order are as follows:
April:
– “Batman” #122
– “Deathstroke Inc.” #8
– “Robin” #13
May:
– “Batman” #123
– “Shadow War Zone” #1
– “Deathstroke Inc.” #9
– “Robin #14
– “Shadow War Omega” #1
“Shadow War Alpha” will retail for $5.99 with a main cover by Jonboy Meyers, while variants with covers by Bogdanovic and Dan Mora will both be priced at $6.99.
