Today brings an impressive (yet unsurprising) announcement from DC Comics, as highly esteemed Top Shelf creator and writer/artist of DC/Vertigo’s Sweet Tooth Jeff Lemire has signed an exclusive contract with DC.
This announcement comes on the heels of a few project announcements from DC in regards to Lemire, as he’ll be launching a new Superboy book in August and is preparing to release his first DC superhero book this Wednesday with the Brightest Day: The Atom special. CBR has a nice interview with him on all of this and more, as he reveals that even with his DC exclusive he’s still able to release graphic novels with Top Shelf (or at the very least, The Underwater Welder).
Congrats to Jeff on the big signing, as this could lead to bigger and better things for him and DC in the near future.
